Our referral process
At PBSS Newcastle we value transparency and honesty. Below we have outlined what will happen if you submit a referral to us for services so you can know what to expect.
Step 1: Submit a referral form via the link “referral form” above. If you require assistance with completing the referral form, or require the form in an alternative format please call us on 0449 504 348 and we will be happy to provide alternative formats.
Step 2: Once we receive your referral form, a referral officer will review your referral and will contact you if we require any further information or to discuss your needs further to help us assess your referral.
When assessing referrals we will consider our capacity to provide you with high quality services (we are not willing to compromise on quality as every person we support deserves the best) and our scope of practice (as you deserve someone who is knowledgeable and skilled to meet your individual needs).
Step 3: Once your referral has been reviewed we will contact you to advise of the outcome. If we have capacity to provide you high quality services and the expertise to provide you with the service you deserve our onboarding officers will be in contact to arrange the development of a service agreement.
Waitlist: In circumstances where we are at capacity, please note that due to the nature of behaviour support services we do not operate a waiting list for services. We simply don’t want to over-promise and under-deliver. However, we are happy to add your name and contact details to our expression of interest list so that we can contact you (in the order of the names on our list) when capacity becomes available to offer you support if you still require services.

Feedback and complaints
We value both positive and constructive feedback. Please complete the form below to provide us with any positive feedback, ideas, suggestions or comments about how we could improve our services.
We are committed to continually improving our services. All complaints are taken seriously and are investigated in line with our complaints management process. Please rest assured that there will be no negative ramifications to the participant or complainant (if the complaint is lodged by a third party) as a result of any complaints that are made.
We will handle all complaints with professionalism and respect, following due process and adhering to the principles of procedural fairness. We strive to achieve satisfactory resolution of any complaints for all parties in a timely manner.
